What are bootlegs ?

No, I’m not talking about illegal alcohol distillers during prohibition … in music, bootlegs are ‘unofficial’ recordings made, usually from live performances or rehearsals.

Bootleg recordings are very important to musicians and fans alike … for musicians, they help us understand what we are doing well and what we need to improve on … for fans, it is an historical record of an artists’ development over time.

That’s exactly what I’d like to share with you today.

I have a small library of bootleg recordings made in the run up to the ‘Voice = Power’ recording session. These recordings consist of live performances, rehearsals, and my own private writing sessions.

Right now, I’d like to share with you a short performance that we did at the very beginning of the process … (note that the band is slightly different … that hadn’t even been solidified yet !)

So, if you are interested, please take a minute to listen and see how far we’ve come as a band. Perhaps I’ll share some more ‘unofficial’ recordings in the near future …
